Interval training. Is too much cardio a bad thing?

Hey, I was just wondering what you all new about interval training, or circuit training. I’ve been going cardio crazy and I need to switch it up. I’ve read that too much cardio can actually be detrimental to weight loss. The story is that with too much cardio your body becomes too efficient and burns less calories. It makes sense to me, as my stamina and endurance have increased my weight loss has all but stopped. I am going to really switch things up at the gym from now on, and if any of you have any advice on what has helped, PLEASE let me know. Thanks

circuit training is great for you. switches things up and keeps your body guessing. I do one that concentrates on upper body.
as for too much cardio I do not buy it for a second. yep our bodies get used to it and fitter but that is what happens when you are fit and athletic. You just got to push more and not be stuck at the same thing. And as you loose weight you got to adjust your eating as well..

Curcuit training is awsome. As for too much cardio, yeah, at some point it becomes less efficient, so do as much as gives you pleasure (hey, it’s not like you should stop in the beginning of a hike or something). In general, more than 1 hr of any excersise at a time is not recommended, as the glucose levels gets depleted. Definetly add some strength in, it will make a HUGE difference!
